Hey Peppy La Pue has nothing on me

Well my friends I am about to embark on yet another year… yes it is coming to that time of year when I get to look into the eyes of the man I married and say.. “I love being married. It’s so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life” LOL

No really I am just teasing here… I do adore my hubs. I can not believe it has been 14 years!!! WOW I know that may not seem like a long time, compared to someone who has been together say like 40 years, but in this day and age of divorce even making it 3 or 4 years is beginning to be a huge milestone.

I always tease him that this year he will not be sick.. as every year before he is ALWAYS sick! I kid you not. I threaten him each year I am gonna make him start breathing treatments a month before just to ward off anything that may be coming down the pike! LOL It has become a running joke at work amongst our friends. They even wonder why I have taken that day off, because they know he is gonna be ill! LOL

In fourteen years I have to say we have had more good times then bad. That is a great blessing and gift from God. It is nice to be married to your best friend .. even if it seems you are like polar opposite’s in almost every way. He likes pork, I like steak… he loves westerns and I love a good comedy. The list goes on and on, yet there is no doubt that this man is the love of my life and my greatest supporter. He never doubts where my heart is and I feel the same about him. I know him so well. I can almost tell you what he is thinking and going to do and say before he does it.

I wonder if this is the year I get my big ring! LOL NOT! We tease each other that every year he stands in front of the gumball machine and spends at least all of two dollars trying to get me the perfect ring! Well he has to have something left over to take me out to dinner.. McDonald’s is not getting any cheaper! I tell him this year he is not taking me to McDonald’s! So he plans some sort of nice meal that he is gonna take me too… that I never get cause.. well you
guessed it.. he is always sick!!! So I end up getting a burger and a long ride home! LOL Poor baby..

He always ask me if there is anything special I want for our anniversary and there never is. I just want him well and happy. He makes me happy, just by being near me. Not saying he is not a normal stubborn man cause he is, and he can get me worked up quicker then any person I know, yet with just a smile he can change my mood and lift me off the ground. Ain’t love grand!
